THE BEST.

Started reading this book yesterday, during our 1st class 2nd class we didn't really had to loads of stuff yesterday and the book was the same size as my Socio Anthropology book so people thought or even my professor thought I was studying for the quiz which I was not. Apparently as soon as I started reading the book I was actually drawn to it. It was also finding a part of me and how things made a lot sense. How each of my weird feelings made sense and that it was explained with such beauty that you have to reread most of the pages. Well if you are the type who wants to read about superficial women who wants everything in this world and has a happy ending with his prince charming or all those glitz and glamour, then I suggest you NOT to buy this book. It's the actual opposite. I have always wanted something REAL or I would like to SEE something REAL. I read each pages of the book by heart. I guess some people fail to REALLY "participate" in their life. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE WHAT PEOPLE WANT YOU TO BE. You have to do what you want, and be what you want. If you are not, then you are living a lie. To youself and the people around you. You don't have to try hard. There will always be flaws, you'll have to feel bad, but it's okay to feel things. But learn to ACCEPT. Accept the fact that things change and that nothing's constant in this world, you just have to move on and that should not stop you from living life. There's this pretty line I read "I would die for you, but I won't live for you". Which makes sense because, it's only us who can live our life. I guess Charlie did appreciate a lot of things and those things weren't material things, but the little thought that counts or some of the lessons in life, how he has been filtered by a certain book he reads. And sometimes we need to be shallow, to appreciate things. To feel good about life, like studying your ass off for midterms or prelims and getting high grades in return, having to prove your friends wrong when they always predicted you won't make it. Then remembering those moments and most importantly remembering the feeling you felt that time. Those little things. ALSO. BEFORE I FORGET. PLEASE DON'T MISS THIS: people often complain how about looks, about clothes about Love, ABOUT SHALLOW STUFF. When a lot of people have it a LOT WORSE, and I guess you're DUMB enough to worry or complain about what you are complaining right now (BELIEVE ME, I thought I was dumb to be complaining about shallow stuff). Half of the world is starving, you complain about how fat you look like. People having cancer, having their head shaved, you complain about how you hate your hair. And ANOTHER THING: You have to feel worse to feel great, that in life, you have to work hard on things before you feel great, YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THINGS. before you feel great. THERE'S NO EASY WAY OUT. No exceptions. And ladies always remind yourself your worth. Sometimes WE ACCEPT THE LOVE WE THINK WE DESERVE, and always do remember that IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT HOW PRETTY YOU SHOULD BE, it's all about a guy looking at the inner you, your personality, how you could handle yourself, how you can talk about issues and stuff not all about how a guy looks at you through a camera or pictures. And those are the stuff I love about the BOOK! it's as real as it could get!!!

My favorite lines:

"If somebody likes me, I want them to like the real me, not what they think I am. And I don't want them to carry it around inside. I want them to show me, so I can feel it, too. I want them to be able to do whatever they want around me. And if they do something I don't like, I'll tell them." --Sam

"Do you know what I mean? That nice feeling when you look in the mirror, and your hair's right for the first time in your life? I don't think we should base so much on weight, muscles, and a good hair day but when it happens, it's nice, it really is." --Charlie

"I had an amazing feeling when I finally held the tape in my hand. I just thought to myself that in the palm of my hand, there was this tape that had all these memories and feelings and great joy and sadness. Right there in the palm of my hand. And I thought about how many people have loved those songs. And how many people got through a lot of bad times because of those songs. And how many people enjoyed good times with those songs. And how many people enjoyed good times with those songs. And how much these songs really mean. I think it would be great to have written those songs. I bet if I wrote one of them, I would be very proud. I hope the people who wrote those songs are happy. I hope they feel it's enough. I really do because they've made me happy. And I'm only one person."--Charlie

"I was just kinf of watching people, seeing who was in love and who was just hanging around"
--charlie

"We accept the love we think we deserve" --Bill

"Old pictures look very rugged and young and the people in the photographs always seem a lot happier than you are"--Charlie

"I'm very interested and fascinated how everyone loves each other, but no one really likes each other, second, the fights are always the same"--Charlie

"I think it's bad when a boy looks at a girl and thinks that the way he sees the girl is better than the girl actually is. And I think it's bad when the most honest way a boy can look at a girl is through a camera."--Charlie

piledriver waltz

So my cousin's really good at transforming old school songs to.... how should I call it.. ummm... unexplainable. But all I could say is that we're entertained, yes, we're weird. FYI weird is cool. And yes, obviously he was our extraordinary dj for the night.

P.S. he made songs slower for my baked cousin. hahahaha it was funny. You should've seen my baked cousin's face. It was too funny! either way, he'll totally ruin my life if I did posted one of his stoned pictures.
